Join us on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022, for the City of Pelham’s Annual Fireworks Show here at Oak Mountain State Park! *RAIN OR SHINE*
Gates open at 7:00 am! Spend the day with us! Grab a good spot on the beach and enjoy the day in the park as you wait for the show to start! Both gates will CLOSE to the public at 7:00 pm SHARP. Please plan accordingly! Fireworks go off at 9:00 pm Sharp! *Campground guests and cabin guests will be let in and out of the park through the Back Gate after 7pm.*
Annual Passes are valid on July 3rd, 2022, from 7am to 7pm!
Regular Entrance Fees Apply on July 3rd from 7am to 4pm. From 4pm to 7pm we will charge $15 per vehicle (Pelham residents will only be charged $10). Carpool and save! Both Gates take cash and card payments!
Flip Side Watersports Is joining us again this year for more jaw-dropping wake boarding entertainment from 5pm to 8pm! They will hit the water at 5pm and their show is always a crowd pleaser! Their wakeboarders this year are some of the top wake boarders in the Nation so it's going to be a great show!
Your Favorite Local DJ Blaze Entertainment is joining us again this year! Be ready for a fun time!
Food Vendors! Come have lunch and dinner with us!
Join us at the Alabama Wildlife Center for Bald Eagle Talks on July 3rd at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm to learn about our Nation's National Bird!
Beat the heat inside the Oak Mountain Interpretive Center and meet some our Education Ambassadors or "Teacher Creatures" at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm! Our phenomenal Interpretive Staff will be hosting Critter Encounters! Stop by and meet some or slithery and scaly friends and soak up some AC while doing so!
We have beach volleyball, the treetop nature trail, playground, basketball courts, and fishing piers in the show's vicinity for you to enjoy all day! You can bring your own chairs/blankets for viewing the show, and you will be allowed to bring in your own coolers if you choose (no outside alcohol allowed). We will have picnic tables available throughout the event area, and there are grills scattered throughout the park that are open to the public! Picnic tables and grills are first come first serve!
We have BRAND NEW restrooms on the beach open and ready for your use! There are outdoor showers to rinse off the sand before you head home!
Parking for the event is available on Terrace Drive. Come early in the day for the best parking space!
Beer will be sold by park staff on the Terrace from 5 pm until 8 pm. Beer will be $5 each and we will take cash and card payments! Look for the Logo Tents on the Terrace!

The City of Pelham Paramedics and PD, Park Rangers, and DCNR Game Wardens will be on site for the event to ensure public safety!
CLOSURES and ALTERNATIVES:
-The Marina on Terrace Dr will be closed ALL DAY in preparation for the show. If you would like to rent a kayak/canoe/SUP, Flip Side Watersports will be open and renting these all day on Beaver Lake!
-All boat launches on Double Oak Lake will be closed, so if you are interested in bringing your own kayak/canoe/SUP to the park you will need to utilize Lunker Lake or Beaver Lake at the North end of the park. Both of those lakes will be open to private vessels.
-Trails leading to the dam (the Lake Trail) on Double Oak Lake will be closed all day on July 3rd, so do not plan on hiking or biking the Lake Trail. Our wonderful office staff can help you find an alternative hike for your visit on July 3rd. You can reach them at #205-620-2520!
