Log Cabins
Our log cabins have an open living room and kitchen. The living room is perfect for relaxing in front of the fireplace or watching tv. The kitchen is equipped with utensils and basic cookware. Our log cabins have 2 bedrooms; one with a queen-size bed, and the other with a king-size bed. The living room also has a sleeper sofa (queen size). The living room and each bedroom have cable TV. All linens are supplied. Covered front porch features rocking chairs, perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. Includes an outdoor charcoal grill, a picnic table, and a campfire ring. Accommodates 4-6 adults.
Wood Frame Cabins
Cabin 3
Enjoy a peaceful getaway on Lookout Mountain in our fully furnished 2 Bedroom/1 Bath Cabin. Cabin 3 features an open kitchen and dining area with new appliances, plenty of pantry space, and a flat-screen TV. Our living area is perfect for relaxing, featuring a 55-inch flat screen TV and plenty of seating. This Cabin has 1 king-size bed in the master bedroom & 1 other bedroom with a full-size bed. Cabin 3 also includes a centrally located full bathroom, cable TV, a full kitchen equipped with utensils and basic cookware, all linens, a sleeper sofa (Full Size), and a large deck with a patio table and chairs. Also includes an outdoor charcoal grill, campfire ring, and picnic table. Accommodates 4-6 Adults.
Cabin 7
Our fully furnished 1 Bedroom/1 Bath Cabin 7 accommodates a maximum of two (2) guests with one bedroom with a king-size bed, a full bathroom, an open living room with cable TV and a fireplace, and a fully furnished kitchen. Cabin 7 has beautiful front and back porches with a porch swing and rocking chairs for relaxing and reconnecting with nature. All linens are supplied. Cabin 7 has a picnic table, charcoal grill, and campfire ring outside. Accommodates 2 adults.
Historic CCC Cabins
DeSoto State Park has four (4) comfortable CCC rustic cabins surrounded by Northeast Alabama's beautiful woodlands and mountainous terrain. These cabins were built in the mid-1930s by members of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).
Chalets
Escape to the mountains and unwind in one of our cozy A-Frame Chalets, nestled among the beautiful woodlands and scenic mountain views of Northeast Alabama. Designed for a relaxing getaway, each chalet features an open-concept layout with one bedroom, an open loft, and one bathroom. Enjoy a cozy evening by the fireplace, watch your favorite shows on cable TV, or prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen with basic cookware and utensils provided. The downstairs bedroom includes a queen-size bed, while the open loft offers two twin beds. A twin sleeper sofa in the living room provides additional sleeping space, comfortably accommodating 4–5 adults. Step outside to enjoy the covered porch with rocking chairs, a charcoal grill, picnic table, and campfire ring—perfect for making memories with family and friends. All linens are provided for your convenience. Spend your days exploring nearby hiking trails, waterfalls, and local shops in Fort Payne, or take a short drive to charming Mentone. Your mountain getaway is waiting!

- A 50% deposit of the stay amount, plus resort and transaction fees, is required to hold a reservation. 13% Lodging Tax and 4.25% Resort Fee applied to each night.
- A one-time, non-refundable convenience fee of $5.25 will be applied to all overnight accommodations.
- A reservation must be canceled at least 72 hours before arrival.
- Check-in time is 4:00 PM on the day of arrival, and check-out time is 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
- We recommend making reservations for holiday weekends at least 3 months in advance.
- All rates are subject to change without notice.
Additional Information
- The rate is for up to 4 people; each additional person aged 12 and older is $10 per night.
- Historic Cabin guests have complimentary access to the swimming pool during the summer months (Memorial Day weekend- Labor Day weekend).
- Dogs are allowed in 2 motel rooms, 1 rustic cabin, and 3 chalets only. Request Dog-friendly accommodations at time of reservation - $30.00 additional per night.
- Two-night minimum on weekends.
- Three-night minimum on Holiday weekends: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.
- Notice: Cabins are NOT to be used for weddings, parties, or gatherings. Only registered guests are allowed at the cabins.
- Please note that cell service may be spotty throughout the park, and Wi-Fi does not reach any of the cabins or chalets.
